16 Days Of Activism Events Registration: Resistance Through Rest

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign running from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day). This year's theme from the UN is "urgent investments to prevent violence against women and girls". At York University, we have chosen the theme "Resistance Through Rest," which emphasizes the importance of self-care, rest, and healing as forms of resistance against gender-based violence. The Centre for Sexual Violence Response, Support, and Education will be recognizing the 16 days of activism through a series of events, talks, workshops, and activities. Events are for students, staff, and faculty at York University. Email: thecentre@yorku.ca for more details.
